形態特徵

Erect shrub, 10–80 cm tall; branches pubescent or subglabrous.
Leaves oblong, oblong-lanceolate or elliptic, (5-)7.8–16(–21) mm long, (3-)3.3–5.7(–7) mm broad, acute at both ends, glabrous on above or nearly so, glabrous or subpubescent along veins beneath; sessile or nearly so; stipules bristle-like, 1–2 mm long.
Flowers white, ca. 8–10 mm in diam., in terminal solitary, seldom clustered; calyx tube campanulate, 5-lobed, lobes triangle-lanceolate; corolla tube cup-like, 5-lobed, valvate in bud, pubescent inside; stamens as many as lobes, inserted on corolla; stigma 2-lobed, pubescent, ovary 2-celled; ovule 1 in each cell.
Fruit a drupe. Seeds 2.

分布

台灣 : only found in forest margin between low and middle elevations. Very common species cultivated in the gardens or parks; rarely native in field.
世界 : China and Japan.
